Listen & Draw

Follow a chain of spoken steps to build a picture — one instruction at a time.

⏱ 5–8 minutes 👂 Auditory memory & sequencing 👥 1 adult + 1 child

What you'll need

The printed draw sheets below, plus a pencil or crayons.

How to play

  1. Choose one draw sheet. Don't show your child the instructions — read them aloud instead.
  2. Give one instruction at a time, e.g. "Draw a big square in the middle of your paper."
  3. Wait for your child to finish before giving the next instruction.
  4. Keep going through all the steps, one at a time, without repeating unless they ask.
  5. Compare the finished drawing — it never needs to be perfect, just have fun seeing what memory built!

🎛️ Adjusting the difficulty

🟢
Make it easier: give only 3–4 steps, or repeat each instruction once if asked.
🔴
Make it harder: give 2 steps at once before pausing, or use all the steps on a sheet without repeating any.
